The Foothill Cultural District, located in the eastern foothills of the Wasatch mountains, is just minutes from downtown Salt Lake City. This unique group of attractions, all within two square miles, provides visitors with the opportunity to experience Utah’s fascinating art, culture, history and stunning natural resources.

The attractions, which are all open year-round, include the Fort Douglas Military Museum, Red Butte Garden, This Is The Place Heritage Park, Olympic Cauldron Park, Utah Museum of Fine Arts, Natural History Museum of Utah, and Utah’s Hogle Zoo. Also conveniently located in the Foothill Cultural District is the University Guest House Hotel and Conference Center. (the UMFA will be temporarily closed for remodeling and reinstallation January 18, 2016 through spring 2017)
